A FAKE HOLY MOTHER IN THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE SPOILER

After completing a task, Bei Nuan gets a permanent skill as a reward. She can shoot without a miss even without aiming. So she became Bei-sharp shooter-Nuan.

Bei Nuan and team meets a group of soldiers from the temporary federation which is open for everyone to join, regardless of nationality. The officer of the soldier is named Shao Bai. He invites them to their camp. He wants to recruit them into the army. When the group of soldiers saw Bei Nuan, seeing that she was very beautiful, they go– “She is so beautiful; do you want to take this woman with us?” “Of course, when we kill zombies, she can be cheerleader for us.”

They totally underestimated Bei Nuan haha. When they met a zombie army on the way to the camp, the officer Shao Bai handed a gun to Lu Xingchi, he rejects, so Bei Nuan reaches out her hand to pick it up, however Shao Bai moved his hand and handed the gun to Du Ruo. He doesn’t want to give it to Bei Nuan at all haha. Du Ruo doesn’t take the gun instead he says– “I heard you say that there is no cheerleading squad. I want to be in the cheerleading squad, okay?” The captain then hands the gun to Jiang Fei again. Jiang Fei doesn’t answer, but glance at Bei Nuan. This time Bei Nuan was completely angry, “They don’t want it, you insist on giving it, I really want it, but you just can’t see me. Do you have gender-selective visual impairment?” Du Ruo asked in surprise–“What kind of disease is this? It sounds very serious.”

After all this, Bei Nuan gets the gun and she proves herself with the help of her new ability as a sharp shooter. Jiang Fei also takes another gun. He is very considerate alright. He didn’t want to snatch the gun from Bei Nuan so he did not take the gun when Shao Bain handed it to him the first time.

Bei Nuan also gains a new gold-level limited time ability after completing a task– reversing time ten minutes back. With the help of this ability, she helps the army kill a high level zombie Li Rui. This zombie is a villain through and through. When he was an elementary school student, he abducted a two year old girl and then killed her casually. He was only eleven years old then. And as a zombie, he is still vicious. The mother of the little girl couldn’t bear the pain of losing her daughter and jumped off a building. But Li Rui was not yet fourteen then, so he did not bear any criminal responsibility. Worse still, Li Rui’s parents had no sympathy for the victim during the investigation and helped their son deny and evade in every possible way. See, this was what I was talking about. Obviously this novel is a comedy, but there are such instances that make it more than just a comedy. It’s not that profound but at the same time it is not so shallow either. Du Ru is very easy going, but he can put up some thought provoking argument in a casually. Of course, it’s just fiction, but it is not hard to connect it to real life. I might have not put up any comedic scene in this summary/spoiler but you will find it when you read it. It’s like dark comedy but I don’t think it’s appropriate to call it one either.

Bei Nuan and Lu Xingchi successfully kills the zombie Li Rui, and the army needs to bring the body back as evidence of completion of the task. Because there is a special time loop zone where they killed Li Rui, they could not bring out Li Rui’s body back. So Bei Nuan took a picture as evidence. Most people don’t use phones anymore. The army borrow a phone from a man named Anil, who is also in the army and waiting to reunite with his after the mission is over. Because he watches videos of his two year old daughter all the time, his phone is out of battery. When Bei Nuan asks where his daughter was he replies, “She and her mother are in the safe area. After this mission is over, I will go back…” Bei Nuan quickly interrupts him, because we all know that in movies or in books, people who say such line mostly end up death before going home. So Bei Nuan interrupts him. Bei Nuan also ends up giving him the power bank.

Remember how Bei Nuan says and thinks she is not a good person? So much so that Huo Ren identifies her as the same kind as him? But now Bei Nuan has learnt to do things for others without the motive of earning holy mother points. After her heart knot regarding her father had been untied, she has become more feeling. She now does not have the attitude of a passerby when faced with the situations in the apocalyptic world. After the incident of her father dying in vain to save his colleague, Bei Nuan had decided to only live for herself and the life and death of others had nothing to do with her. But now she is starting to care.

Bei Nuan also wants to give Anil a solar power bank. So when they went to give him the solar power bank that night, they find Anil in the forest near the camp, along with Song Ce and Huo Ren. Both Anil and Song Ce were harmed by Huo Ren, and when he heard them approaching the forest, he runs away. Bei Nuan and Lu Xingchi checks on Song Ce and Anil. Song Ce was heavily injured, while Anil was dead. Knowing that his time was running out, Song Ce tells Bei Nuan that he kept his bag pack containing important data on vaccines and transformation agents at a presidential suite on the top floor of the highest hotel in the city. Asking them to take it to the safe area and give it to his mentor, Qin Zhiyu. He also tells them that there were inhibitors in the bag which they should take as reward and give it to Du Ruo. This transformation agent might be able to transform a zombie back to human.

Bei Nuan decides to use her time reversing ability to save both Anil and Song Ce. She could have not, but she chose to. Maybe she thought of Anil’s daughter and herself. She didn’t want the daughter to lose her father at such a young age like she did. Or maybe she also wanted Song Ce, the hope of mankind to live. Bei Nuan’s reverse ability needs chosen witness to reverse time, and only the witness remembers what happened. So she chose Song Ce, and asks him to save Anil's life if possible. Time reverses, Song Ce saved himself as well as Anil. Bei Nuan and Lu Xingchin decided to make a trip to the tallest hotel. There the bag packs were gone, leaving only a small cardboard box behind, inside which was the enhanced inhibitor with Song Ce’s familiar handwriting on it, expressing his thanks and instructions on when to inject the inhibitor for Du Ruo.

The king of beast master.

For this new ability, Bei Nuan needed to make three people make different animal sounds. These sounds cannot be made by people that Bei Nuan knows well. At this point, Lu Xingchi and the others had more or less guessed that her strange behavior had something to do with tasks and her strange abilities, especially Lu Xingchi. Knowing that Bei Nuan had to complete tasks, he assists her in all kind of ways. For this new task, Bei Nuan also had to collect animal skin, bird feather, and fish roe. She found the bird feather from the feather shuttle cock given to her by Xian Ji’s mother back at Yao Town, and fish roe from her space. All that was left was animal skin, so she turns to Lu Xingchi. Lu Xingchi says he will do and give whatever she wants. Then something misleading happens–

Bei Nuan: I can do whatever I want?

Lu Xingchi: *nods*

Bei Nuan holds his waist and starts to untie his belt. Lu Xingchi freezes. Although he had flashed her, it was a completely different thing for her to take the initiative. Even with his thick skin, Lu Xingchi could not bear it and his voice becomes hoarse. 

Lu Xingchi: What do you want to do?

Bei Nuan: I just need to cut a little bit, just a little bit longer than a grain of rice. I promise you won’t notice it at all, and it won’t have any effect.

Lu Xingchi: Cut what?

Bei Nuan: Don’t be so mean.

 Bei Nuan cuts off a piece from the tip of his belt. Lu Xingchi looks at her speechlessly for a long time. I mean Bei Nuan’s actions are indeed bizarre and misleading, who can blame him?

Bei Nuan’s ability king of beast masters is that whatever she sees, she can imitate it and be it. With this ability, Bei Nuan first becomes a bird and shows off in front of Lu Xingchi. Her thoughts were like– Did you see it? Grandpa can fly. Lu Xingchi, knowing that the bird was Bei Nuan, he did not want to be outdone so he goes: "My ability to control metal is getting stronger day by day, and it won’t be long before I can use metal to support heavy objects and fly in the air. So think about it, by then, if I put on a metal suit, what would happen? I’m thinking, if someone is good, I can consider making her a suit and take her to fly together."

Lu Xingchi’s style is totally like coddling a child and swindling them. Bei Nuan cheers. But thinking of the future, she feels sad. She doesn’t know if she would still be in this world by the time Lu Xingchi’s ability improves to that level. Bei Nuan has less than 20 percent left to collect holy mother points. And she must raise the points to full level before reaching the end of the plot line. She is also reluctant to leave him.

First human blockade of the safe zone- Farman city

Bei Nuan saves the ancient city of Farman from zombie siege. There were high level zombies summoning low level ones to surround Farman city. Bei Nuan had the ability of King of beast masters, she accidentally transforms into a zombie, due to which she was able to identify the high level zombies that were summoning the low level ones. Bei Nuan, while amongst the crowd of zombies in zombie form, wanted to kill those high level zombies but her ability of 'King of beast masters' forbids her from killing her own kind. So she rushes back to the temporary camp to Lu Xingchi before the countdown of zombie transformation was over and told the others of the situation. She managed to kill the high level zombies and they find that one of the high level zombie was rummaging through the head of its companion high level zombie that had just been killed. That is how they find zombie crystals.

Bei Nuan’s true use of the ability 'king of beast masters' is to see it, imitate it, and become it. After becoming it, they will bow down to her and obey all her commands. That is, she could command them even without transforming into one as she had already understood it. Bei Nuan commands the zombies to retreat and the refugees safely enter the ancient city of Farmans.

Bei Nuan and group meet the commander of Farman city, Yan Teng. Bei Nuan and teams also exposed their abilities. Especially Bei Nuan and Lu Xingchi. Now they have to find the high level zombie that escaped and kill it. There were death squads arranged by Farman city. They were given shielding agents, with which zombies would not attack them and treat them as invisible for a short period of time. However, since this shielding agent it an unfinished product, those injected had the risk of dying. They could not find the mutated zombie, so Yan Teng was about to arrange another group of death squad, however, Du Ruo felt sympathy for them and decided to go find those mutated zombie himself since zombies can’t hurt him anyways. However, Bei Nuan and the others are puzzled, why had Song Ce given them an unfinished and fatal product? Turns out it was donated by LBD to the alliance. LBD wants to be in power, and by taking control of the inhibitors, vaccine and shielding agents in Song Ce’s hands, they can become leader who can control life and death. So they have been hunting Song Ce down and not allowing him to contact the alliance army. Because once the things in his hands were mass produced, humans would turn back to normal again and would no longer be in the verge of extinction.

The zombies that had originally retreated under Bei Nuan’s command came back again when Bei Nuan’s ability was over. Farman city was running out of ammunitions. Yan Teng, the city commander still wanted to use the death squad, so Du Ruo volunteers to go find the mutant zombie. He says to Bei Nuan, “Equip me with a murder weapon.” Bei Nuan gives it to him and gives her own rifle and bullets saying, “But he is not very good at using them.” She was about to cry. However, Du Ruo syas, “I still want my Minghong sword.” He also took the zombie crystals and ate them, and describes the taste to Bei Nuan as if it was a pity that Bei Nuan could not taste them. After eating, he was able to hear strange noises. He can now understand zombie commands. So he asked for a hammer and a chisel to dig out zombie crystals after killing them. 

Du Ruo manages to lead the zombie far away from the safe zone.

Salem City/Huo Ren’s death.

This city is also being besieged and the situation is grim there, so Du Ruo wanted to go and help them deal with those mutated zombies. Bei Nuan has a new limited time ability– she can become whatever she wants with herself. For example, she can lengthen her hair, turn her fingers into daggers, etc. She can even separate a part of her body from her.

The team meets the commander of Saren city, Luo Yuan. The commander immediately arranges for them. In this city base, they meet Huo Ren, Zhenzhen and Song Ce. Du Ruo took away the Minghong sword last time, so this time, Bei Nuan had no weapon that can hurt Huo Ren. Bei Nuan gets locked up by Huo Ren and he even cuts off two of Bei Nuan’s fingers. Luckily, she has an ability to separate a part of her body and did not really get her fingers cut. As for the blood, it was arranged by the system. Huo Ren tried to get the Minghong sword from her, and Huo Ren goes to look for Lu Xingchi because Bei Nuan told him that the Minghong sword was with him.

Bei Nuan turns herself into one of Huo Ren’s minion and accidentally finds Song Ce locked up in a room. She carries him out, and they meet ZhenZhen outside. Song Ce subconsciously used his ability, which made Zhenzhen see him as her dearest person, Huo Ren. Zhenzhen was immediately fooled, and seeing the injured Huo Ren(Song Ce), she helps although she had just quarreled with him because he did not want the child in her stomach. Yes, Zhenzhen is pregnant with Huo Ren’s child, but the bastard did not want it. He has no one in his heart. Not even Zhenzhen who has accompanied him for so long. Song Ce, who is now Huo Ren in Zhenzhen’s eyes, treated her gently, and even promised that if he survived, he would keep the child. Zhenzhen was really moved. Although she could tell by now that this gentle Huo Ren was not Huo Ren at all, she still wanted to believe in this lie because all she ever wanted was for Huo Ren to treat her gently.

Huo Ren comes back and walks into the three of them and was stunned, because in his eyes, his woman and his subordinate betrayed him. Huo Ren knew about Song Ce’s ability. So after a thought, he thinks that Zhenzhen was fooled and so was his subordinate. Huo Ren takes out his gun and tells Zhenzhen to go to his side. However, Zhenzhen doesn’t move. She asks instead, “What kind of clothes did I wear when we first met?” Huo Ren doesn’t remember. Zhenzhen turns to Song Ce, who just makes up a lie, and says that he did not pay much attention expect for her beautiful eyes. Everyone, including Zhenzhen knows that he is lying, but Zhenzhen just wants to hear such words. Zhenzhen fires several shots at Huo Ren. This was a betrayal in Huo Ren’s eyes, because Zhenzhen chose a more gentle and considerate Huo Ren. He shoots Zhenzhen directly even though Zhenzhen’s shots didn’t hurt him. At that moment, Lu Xingchi came back and passed the Minghong sword to Bei Nuan, and she killed Huo Ren instantly.

Since Zhenzhen chose the gentle Huo Ren played by Song Ce, he played it to the end till Zhenzhen died.
